WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Alignment issues show up fast, from vibration to uneven wear

Steering wheel vibration, tires wearing unevenly, or your car pulling to one side are usually the first signs your wheels have drifted out of alignment. Our ASE certified technicians use a computerized alignment machine to measure and adjust toe, camber, caster, and thrust angle to your vehicle's factory specs, so your tires meet the road the way they were designed to. We also check the suspension and steering components that affect those angles, since worn parts can throw an otherwise good alignment right back out. Ask about pairing your alignment with a tire rotation to get the most life out of every tire.

TIME FOR A CHECK?

Know the warning signs before they cost you a tire

An off center steering wheel, vibration at speed, or tires wearing thin on the inside or outside edge usually mean your alignment has shifted. So can a car that drifts to one side on a flat road, or tires that squeal on tight turns. If you just had suspension work done, like a strut or control arm replacement, or hit a rough pothole or curb, it is worth having us check your angles before it turns into uneven tire wear.

OUR PROCESS

A thorough alignment, done right the first time

We start by inspecting your suspension and steering components, since worn parts can undo an alignment before you even leave the lot. From there, we measure all four wheels against your vehicle's manufacturer specifications and adjust toe, camber, and caster for proper tire contact and steering feel, then verify thrust angle so the car tracks straight instead of drifting. We check tire pressure, document every measurement, and walk you through anything else we find along the way. Pair it with a tire balance for a smoother ride, and financing is available if repair work is needed first. Call Yes! Automotive Service at (260) 527-8822 or find us at 6202 Plantation Lane in Fort Wayne, open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Most manufacturers recommend checking it annually or every 12,000–15,000 miles, sooner if you notice pulling, uneven wear, or steering issues.

Front-end alignment only adjusts the front wheels; four-wheel alignment measures and adjusts all four for proper tracking and even wear.

Typically 1–2 hours, depending on the vehicle's condition and whether any suspension parts need replacing first.

It can if the vibration comes from improper toe settings, but vibration can also come from unbalanced tires or worn suspension parts.

Not immediately dangerous, but it causes faster tire wear, worse fuel efficiency, and reduced control, especially in emergencies.
